The winter holidays are months away and  there's plenty of time to market to your clients and potential clients, right? You may think it's early, but marketing specialists say you should have made your marketing plans by now. I say you've still got time to develop distinctive strategies to make your legal nurse consultant business stand out. And an added benefit is that you'll save time during the busy holiday season. Here are five winter holiday marketing ideas that you can plan today.

Send a gift to your clients. If you get a lot of business from certain clients, think about sending them a small gift during the holidays. You could make cookies or buy a small gift basket.  Decide now if you want to go this route. To stand out, send or drop off your gift the week after Thanksgiving.

Send a holiday message: Send a holiday newsletter or card that shows the personable side of your LNC consulting business. Include photos of you reviewing medical records or using the computer to type your reports.  Include a success story and thank your clients for their help in making it happen. Start now because the holiday season will be here before you know it.

Share your goals: If you don't have any clients yet, share your goals with future clients. "The goal of XYZ Consulting is to provide you with accurate and quick yet thorough medical analysis of your cases." "My goal is to analyze your medical malpractice cases so that you can save money."

Host an event for clients and potential clients: I know one LNC who cooked a pancake breakfast for everyone at the office of her best client. After that, all the law firm staff recognized her name, including the gatekeepers. Or you could host a cookie exchange or a wine tasting party. Send your invitation a month or two before the event so that participants can save the date.

Send a newsletter outlining your accomplishments for the past year: Now's the time to let everyone know that you helped law firms get positive verdicts or saved them bundles of money through your medical record reviews. If you don't have clients yet, think of offering a holiday promotion.
