Types of Legal Nurse Consultants

Legal Nurse Consultants bridge the gap between the medical and legal fields. They work in a variety of settings providing support to the litigation team for medical malpractice, nursing home, workers' compensation, personal injury, product liability, insurance fraud and other types of medical-legal cases.  While there the work may be variable, LNCs can be divided into three types of roles: those of In-House, Expert, and Independent legal nurse consultants. All three types of LNCs analyze medical-legal cases but function in different ways. Each type of legal nurse consultant has its pros and cons.
